Student Survivors Project
A partnership between Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre, University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Napier University, Heriot Watt University, and Queen Margaret University.
The Student Survivors project offers on-campus and remote counselling support to university students of all ages and genders who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives.
What we offer
We offer counselling support sessions, where you can use the time any way you choose, and we can talk through what support we can offer. Support may be offered in person, by video, phone or email.
• An initial standalone introductory meeting to let us get to know each other and find out about your support needs.
• Up to 18 further sessions, delivered in three blocks of six, as soon as a counselling support worker becomes available
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and precautions, most of our support is currently offered remotely (i.e. by video, phone or email). Our team of support workers can discuss the best option for you.
Getting in touch and referrals
If you are currently enrolled as a student at University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Napier University, Heriot Watt University or Queen Margaret University you can refer yourself for support by emailing email@example.com. You can also be referred with your permission through your university’s well-being and counselling services.
