UPDATED: The Student Survivors Project has re-opened its waiting list (Tuesday 19 September 2023)
Today (Tuesday 7 February), we have taken the difficult decision to close our Student Survivors project to new referrals. This is because we do not have the resources to meet the demand for this specialist service.
Our Edinburgh Adult Service, Advocacy and Learning Disabilities and Needs waiting lists are also currently closed to new referrals.
If you have experienced a recent rape or sexual assault (within the last 14 days), we are still open to support survivors of recent incidents.
Our other services remain open to new referrals:
- STAR service for young people aged 12 – 18
- Outreach support in East Lothian and Midlothian
- SIA project for black and minority ethnic survivors
We understand that this news can be difficult to hear. If you have any concerns or questions please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org. Please see here for alternative sources of support. You can also contact the Rape Crisis Scotland national helpline on 08088 01 03 02, text: 07537 410 027, webchat www.rapecrisisscotland.org.uk (open every day from 5pm until midnight) for support.
