WHAT WE DO

We offer free and confidential emotional and practical support, information and advocacy to all survivors aged 12 and over in Edinburgh, East and Midlothian, who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. This includes, rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, childhood sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation.

We work to change attitudes about gender based violence and improve services for survivors. Our prevention project offers free sexual violence prevention education to 11–25 year olds in schools and other youth settings in Edinburgh City, East, Mid and West Lothian.

STAR offers confidential support to all young people aged 12-18 who have experienced rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse or circulating an intimate image without your consent.

Student Survivors Project offers counselling support to university students and students from Edinburgh College of all ages and genders who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives.

SIA offers counselling support to women, all members of the trans community and non binary people, from black and minority ethnic (BME) backgrounds aged 16 and over, who have had any form of unwanted sexual experience.

We provide outreach support in East Lothian and Midlothian to women, all members of the trans community and non binary people over 18.

Sexual violence is any form of unwanted sexual behaviour where you have not given your consent. It could be verbal, physical, emotional, happen online or offline.
